Joanne Kollman

 

Joanne Kollman's broad experiences range from commercial illustration to fine etchings and oil paintings. With 20 years of experience producing illustrations for magazines, children's books and commercial clients, along with original gallery art and graphic, Joanne has established a lighthearted style and a unique eye for design.

 

In 2004 Joanne rediscovered the fine art of etching. With the ability to combine line, tone, and color she has discovered a medium that brings out her fine eye for design and color while blending whimsy and humor with psychology as stylized domestic and sometimes anthropomorphic pets.

 

Joanne's goal is to bring a thought or idea to it's simplest form. Her interest is in capturing the human spirit whether it is a formal portrait or a whimsical cat sitting in front of an empty plate. She continues the pursuit of improved draghtsmanship and composition whatever the medium.
